Fraudster pretended to be a woman with cancer to get money (2 photos + 1 video)
Several non-profit charitable organizations in several US states were affected by the actions of 69-year-old Timothy Bartlett. 
These organizations provided financial support to cancer patients, and they transferred large sums to the account of a certain Sally Holmes, who allegedly suffered from breast cancer. Imagine the indignation of the benefactors when it turned out that there was no Sally, and they all became victims of a fraudulent scheme invented and carried out by the criminal Timothy. 
The man was tracked down and arrested, after which he was charged with fraud on an especially large scale. Mike Chitwood, the sheriff of Volusia County (Florida, USA), said that in his career he has seen enough morally reprehensible scams, but this is the worst.
