On the night of May 17, explosions occurred in the area of Sevastopol temporarily occupied by the Russians in Crimea, in Novorossiysk, Tuapse and Belgorod. As Censor.NET reports, Russian Telegram channels report this.
According to local residents in the area of Novorossiysk, in the Krasnodar Territory, more than 20 explosions were heard. They heard the distinctive sound of drones flying by and also saw a missile hit the port. After this, a fire broke out there. Previously, the Novorossiysk fuel oil terminal and the Transneft terminal were allegedly attacked by the UAV.
Later, the governor of the Krasnodar region, Veniamin Kondratyev, announced an “unsuccessful Ukrainian attack.” According to him, Russian air defense allegedly neutralized more than 10 drones, and “local fires arose” due to falling debris.
The operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory reported that allegedly Ukrainian drones attacked Tuapse. As a result of the fall of the device, a fire occurred on the territory of the oil refinery. At the same time, local residents heard an explosion, after which an air raid alarm began to sound.
The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, also announced a night drone attack.
“Several settlements in the Belgorod region were immediately attacked by kamikaze drones,” Gladkov wrote.
And local Telegram channels reported a fire at a gas station as a result of a drone strike.
On the night of May 17, things were uneasy in the area of Sevastopol, temporarily occupied by the Russians, in Crimea. There were also explosions and shooting was heard.
Russian media report about the work of air defense and about an alleged attack by drones - in particular, the occupiers are trying to shoot them down with small arms.
According to local channels, power was partially lost in Sevastopol and Balaklava. The target of the attack was probably the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant. In addition, that night explosions were heard in the Dzhankoy district.
