A fire broke out at the Volgograd oil refinery: regional authorities announced a UAV attack
On the night of February 3 in Russia, a fire broke out at the Volgograd oil refinery. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, oil products burned on an area of 300 square meters.
“The operational duty room of the Central Control Center received a message about a fire in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd. During the arrival of the first fire and rescue crews, it was established that an oil spill was burning on an area of 300 sq. m. There were no preliminary deaths or injuries. The cause is being established,” - the Russian ministry said in a statement.
Subsequently, the Ministry of Emergency Situations assured that the fire had been extinguished.
Volgograd Governor Andrei Bocharov stated in a telegram channel that the air defense allegedly repelled a UAV attack on the territory of the region at night, and as a result of the fall of the downed UAV, a fire broke out at the Volgograd Oil Refinery.
“The open burning has been eliminated, there are no casualties,” the official assures.
