The one-of-a-kind McLaren Senna will be put up for auction (24 photos)
On May 10, the McLaren Senna GTR supercar, modified by the British Lanzante studio, will be auctioned at RM Sotheby's. This is one of the models of the LM25 project, dedicated to the victory of McLaren F1 in the 24-hour race of Le Mans. The supercar is one of a kind and has a very modest mileage. The coupe is expected to change hands for between 1.4 and 1.6 million euros.
In the LM 25 project, the British from Lanzante used seven McLaren cars. Only one track Senna GTR was taken, which was generously trimmed with carbon fiber. The GTR LM 25 features references to the F1 champion's appearance, including colour, start number and racing livery elements.
The interior features alternative carbon seats with racing straps and a new steering wheel, replicating the components of the McLaren F1 GTR.
The tuners managed to reduce the weight of the supercar by 41 kilograms without interfering with the power unit.
The factory McLaren Senna GTR is track-only, but auctioneers claim the Lanzante supercar has been certified in the UK for public roads.
The car has only covered 1,731 kilometers since it was built as of September last year.
