Arshiya Goswami, at less than 10 years old, is able to perform exercises with a barbell that weighs three times more than herself. A weightlifter from India publishes her successes on social networks, delighting almost 750 thousand subscribers.
At the age of 8, she set her first personal record - lifting 60 kg. Now the girl weighs 25 kg, and she managed to deadlift with a weight of 75 kg.
Arshiya has been involved in powerlifting since 2021. Then a 6-year-old girl became the youngest weightlifter in the country, lifting 45 kg. Since then, she has taken the weightlifting world by storm, winning numerous competitions and even receiving sponsorships from MuscleBlaze and Jerai Fitness, two popular Indian fitness brands.
“I don’t know how she does it. Maybe it’s genetics or a rare gift?” proud father Avneesh Goswami told Sportstar.
He hopes that one day his daughter will take part in the Olympic Games.
Arshiya's accomplishments are certainly impressive, but she's not the only super-powered kid.
So, in 2022, 9-year-old Rory van Ulft from Canada was able to lift 110 kg, which is more than three times her body weight.
