A Dog Almost Left a Playboy Model Without a Nose (5 photos + 1 video)
A dog bite left a Brazilian model without a sense of smell for almost six months and cost her $40,000. Ju Iseng has opened up about the physical and emotional toll of the incident. 
While the Playboy model used to talk about fashion and the joys of life on her social media page, she now shows her followers a completely different reality. Ju shares what it's like to spend tens of thousands on surgery and rehabilitation. 
The incident occurred on New Year's Eve in Mexico City. Ju wanted to pet an Akita Inu, but the dog suddenly attacked her and bit her face.
The 40-year-old woman recalls: "I thought I was going to lose my face." The victim was rushed to the hospital, where she underwent a two-hour operation to reconstruct her nose.
"I didn't smell anything for almost six months," she complained.
After recovery, the model returned to Brazil. She went to the Center for Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine in Sao Paulo, where she is now being treated by dermatologist Priscilla Martelli.
The treatments include fractional laser therapy, biostimulants, and regenerating ingredients (yes, salmon sperm is on the list) to help soften scars and restore volume.
All of these treatments cost her a pretty penny: over $40,000.
Brazilian woman admits: “This treatment is a way to restore not only the body, but also the soul.”
Known for her glamorous posts and cheerful energy, Isen opened up about how trauma affected her mental health: shock, emotional pain, and low self-esteem. She noted that it wasn’t about vanity. It could have happened to anyone. Healing isn’t just about external transformation.
By sharing her experiences, she hopes to raise awareness and instill hope.
"This could have happened to anyone. But I want to show that recovery is possible with time, care and the right professionals."
Ju has frequently appeared on the pages of famous magazines, including Glamour Bulgaria. She gained public attention in 2015 when she staged a topless protest against President Dilma Rousseff. The model currently has 2.5 million followers on the social network.
