A giant bull named Tommy has become a world record holder. This handsome guy is almost two meters tall and weighs more than a ton! According to his owners, he is a gentle giant with a sweet personality and is considered part of the family.
Tommy, a 13-year-old brown Swiss bull who lives in Cheshire, England, was recently voted the tallest bull in the world. His height is 1.87 meters! This record was awarded by the Guinness Book of Records. The bull has been living with a family of farmers since he was one day old. Once upon a time, a calf was bought for only $10, but now, according to the owners, it costs many times more. However, this handsome guy is considered a member of the family, so they are not going to sell it.
Typically, Brown Swiss bulls are considered a medium-sized breed, but Tommy is something of a freak of nature because he is much larger than his brothers. A typical representative of his breed weighs about 900 kg, and cows weigh up to 630 kg. Tommy weighs just over one ton, which makes him heavy even for his breed, so his height of 1.87 m is not surprising.
According to the owners, they did not expect that one day their bull would become a Guinness Book of Records record holder. Despite his size, Tommy is a gentle giant with a calm and peaceful demeanor. This is also partly due to the fact that he is castrated (in fact, he is an ox). Tommy consumes 14 kg of dry grain, over 35 kg of hay daily and drinks 130 liters of water per day. He is also a big fan of apples, which he is often spoiled with.
