They don’t want to buy a rare Lamborghini Veneno roadster (21 photos + 1 video)
The rare Lamborghini supercar, the second of only nine Veneno roadsters ever built on the Aventador platform, is up for auction on the online marketplace SBX Cars. The cost of the car is not specified, but the same Veneno has been unsuccessfully trying to sell the VIP Motors dealership in Dubai since 2022 for $9.5 million.
This specimen was collected in 2015. Like other Venenos, it received a customized exterior and interior design: matte black color combined with bright green accents. The roadster is equipped with a 6.5-liter V12, which in this supercar develops 750 hp. The Veneno Roadster can accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 355 km/h.
The supercar changed owners twice, and, according to the seller, one of the owners of Veneno was a member of the royal family of Saudi Arabia.
Why the car has not been able to find a buyer for at least two years is not specified. In 2020, the same Veneno was put up for auction at the reputable auction RM Sotheby's, estimated at between 4.5 and 5.5 million euros, but it also failed to be sold. At the same time, they still use a supercar at least occasionally. If in 2020 its mileage was 450 kilometers, now auctioneers claim 1,778 kilometers.
