A rare model of the Lamborghini Centenario roadster will be put up for auction (20 photos)
The Lamborghini Centenario supercar will be put up for auction at RM Sotheby's, which will be held in Paris on the last day of January. This is one of only 20 roadsters ever assembled by the Italian company. For the Centenario, which has traveled only 71 kilometers since 2018, they expect to earn from 3 to 4 million euros.
Lamborghini Centenario was introduced in 2016. The model debuted as a coupe (only 20 of these were built), the open version appeared later.
The Centenario is based on the carbon fiber monocoque of the Aventador and borrows its 6.5-liter V12. At the same time, engine output was increased by 20 hp. - up to 770 hp, and the carbon fiber body was redesigned using racing aerodynamic solutions. The interior has also been seriously updated. In addition, the Centenario became the first Lamborghini with steering rear wheels.
The roadster can accelerate to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of 350 km/h.
This particular copy was purchased in the spring of 2018 and has remained with its sole owner ever since. This is said to be the only Centenario in the lot to feature a red and black bodywork paired with Alcantara interior trim in the same color scheme.
