Donald Trump's Lamborghini Diablo VT was put up for sale with low mileage (28 photos)
At the Barrett-Jackson auction in late January, a 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT roadster, which sellers call unique, will be offered for sale. It was assembled by special order of businessman Donald Trump and endowed with a number of distinctive features. The odometer of the supercar shows 24,836 miles (less than 40 thousand km), but, according to the Carfax system, this figure does not correspond to the true mileage. 
Auctioneers claim that in the second half of the 1990s, Donald Trump and Lamborghini had a special relationship based on advertising contracts. Therefore, when a businessman ordered a roadster for himself, he was allowed to choose an unusual color for the body.
Blu Le Mans wasn't an official blue color for Diablo at the time, but an exception was made for Trump. In addition, the supercar was marked with a special sign on the driver's door with the inscription Donald Trump 1997 Diablo. In general, the Italians assembled only 132 copies of the Diablo VT roadster in the pre-restyling version for the US market between 1997 and 1999.
The roadster is equipped with a 5.7-liter V12 with an output of 492 hp. With. and 580 Nm. The engine works with a 5-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive system and is capable of accelerating the supercar to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds.
Trump owned the car until 2002, after which the supercar had two more owners. It is not specified which of them changed the odometer readings.
