There are traffic jams on the roads, and thousands of people are sitting without electricity. This is how the Sunshine State welcomes spring. 
A local Armageddon has occurred in California. A snowstorm has been raging for several days, which the media has already dubbed “the most powerful blizzard of this century.” In the future it may be worse, but for now this was enough to cut off power to 33 thousand houses and stop traffic on a key highway.
Alarmed meteorologists say up to 3 meters of snow will fall in some areas by tomorrow morning. This is what it's all about.
On Saturday, in the Sierra Nevada mountains, the wind speed was somehow prohibitive. They reported 160 km/h... Perhaps someone was very scared of the snowstorm and slightly exaggerated the figure. But still, the wind there is simply crushing, and emergency services warn of possible avalanches. Strange, but true: the threat of a snowstorm was trumpeted from every voice several days before it began. And still, several groups of tourists went to the mountains to ski. So far there have been no reports of casualties.
And the snow storm continues.
The next snowstorm is expected in California from Monday to Wednesday, this time weaker. Although it will also bring up to 60 centimeters of snow to the state.
