Unfortunately, millions of animals, by the will of fate, end up abandoned on the streets. Some people are lucky and end up in shelters. But even in shelters they can’t find owners for a long time.
A 15-year-old cat named Polly, by the will of fate, ended up in an American shelter. The older cat suffers from an autoimmune disease, is deaf, has no teeth, and has several other health problems. No one in the shelter seemed to hope that someone would take Polly: they thought that she would live out her life within the walls of the shelter. But all this time Polly sincerely believed and waited that her man would definitely appear... And one day a miracle happened.
One day a woman named Sarah walked through the doors of the shelter. She immediately drew attention to this elderly beauty: and realized that she was just looking for such a calm, affectionate and intelligent pet. Age was not important to her. Sarah immediately felt an invisible connection with her.
"When I met Polly, I knew she ticked all the boxes I was looking for. She seemed calm and had the most incredible purr I've ever heard. Her age wasn't a problem for me, quite the opposite. a plus," the woman said.
"Hurray! I was adopted into the family!"
When Sarah brought Polly home, it seemed that she had already lived there for a long time: the cat got used to it very quickly. Despite her lack of teeth, she can eat both wet and dry food. Deafness does not interfere with her in any way, and she feels everything perfectly. Now the owner often publishes photos of Polly online, urging everyone not to be afraid to take elderly pets from shelters.
"Everyone should know how wonderful senior pets are. They are incredibly grateful for all the love you give them. It is important for owners to provide support for their pets in their golden years of life. If you think about it, this is when they need us the most "- says owner Polly.
"I love my man"
