Increasing number of dam failures is leading to widespread flooding in Karanganyar, Demak district. During the emergency evacuation, residents of 35 villages were evacuated. 1012 hectares of rice fields were under water.

Hundreds of local residents died, more than a hundred thousand were evacuated, and according to various sources, from 700 to 15 thousand people went missing.
Another 5 rivers in South Sumatra are at a critical point of filling with water. Teams of specialists and volunteers are on duty in these areas around the clock to prevent the dams from breaking.
