The woman immediately threw herself on the hood of the car in which the dog was taken away and drove it along one of the central streets. Shocked passers-by filmed the video. What would you do in a similar situation?
A video of a woman on the hood of a moving car in downtown Los Angeles recently made the rounds of the Internet and news outlets. The video shows Ali Zacharias, whose beloved French bulldog named Onyx was stolen. She and the dog were about to leave the cafe, when suddenly a stranger took Onyx’s leash and quickly headed towards the exit. She threw the dog into the car, where there were three other people, and closed all the doors. The owner followed her and tried to return her pet - but the thieves immediately moved.
Then the owner jumped straight onto the car - but this did not stop the thieves. They kept moving. The woman stayed on the hood for about a block, but eventually fell on a street corner. She received several scrapes and bruises, but was not seriously injured. Police are now reviewing surveillance footage and looking for information about the suspects. It is already known that the alleged kidnapper is a woman of about 25 years old, wearing a gray hoodie, purple sweatpants and black boots.
French bulldogs are now the most popular breed in the country. Puppies of this breed sell for more than $1,000. The video of the incident received more than 20 thousand likes and 1 thousand comments, and caused a wave of outrage. We hope the thieves get theirs, and the owner is reunited with her pet!
