Emergency Situations Ministry employees cordoned off the area. 
In the center of Kazan, the Astoria hotel center is on fire. The fire is visible for several kilometers. The entire area was filled with smoke. Emergency Situations Ministry employees have already secured the area and are putting out the fire.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a fire broke out on Pavlyukhin Street, 112a at about two o’clock in the afternoon. The fire area was about 900 square meters. The prosecutor's office organized an investigation into the fire.
Due to the fire, traffic was blocked from Gazovaya Street to Daurskaya Street. According to preliminary data, visitors and staff managed to evacuate, and no one was injured.
