Italian Emma Maria Mazzenga from Padua can boast of a recently set world record. An elderly woman runs the fastest 200 meters, at least in her age category.
The runner is already 90 years old and can cover the distance in 54.46 seconds. This achievement was officially recognized by the Guinness Book of Records.
Some time ago, Emma suffered a fracture of her sternum, and, having recovered, began training for a world record. By the way, the woman hopes to run 200 meters in an even shorter time. She claims that she ran faster in training.
