The Pilatus cable car in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland is one of the most impressive in the world. It climbs Mount Pilatus to 2,132 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views of Lake Lucerne, the Alps and the Swiss Alps.
The cable car is made up of three sections, each with its own unique look. The first section rises to an altitude of 1622 meters above sea level, offering views of the city of Lucerne and the lake. The second section rises to an altitude of 1952 meters above sea level, offering views of mountains and valleys. The third and final section climbs to the top of Mount Pilatus, offering breathtaking views of the Alps.
The Pilatus cable car is open all year round, but the best views are available in spring, summer and autumn. In winter, the cable car may be closed due to snowfall.
