On top of Mount Taohua, 1800 meters above sea level sea, China built Wushan Airport, which successfully fulfills its transport function. This grandiose project was realized in order to to relieve congestion at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, which serves about 40 million passengers annually.
During the construction of the object, it was necessary to blow up the peak of the mountain, after which the site for the airport was carefully cleaned and leveled. All this made it possible to create an airfield zone, a terminal and a platform for parking five aircraft at the same time.
However, according to experienced travelers, mountainous weather conditions can create certain problems. Constant changes in weather conditions can cause serious delays departure of flights or their transfer for several days.
