A gorilla was filmed making snowballs at the zoo (3 photos + 1 video)
Sometimes primates resemble humans in their actions - but this male gorilla recently surprised the entire zoo. He began to “make snowballs” out of snow in his enclosure. This was filmed by zoo staff. 
Belfast Zoo in Northern Ireland recently closed temporarily due to cold weather and heavy snow. Schools and roads are also closed in the region, but the bad weather is not stopping some from enjoying life. One of the inhabitants of the zoo, a gorilla named Gugas, began to explore the snow in his enclosure and skillfully sculpt snowballs from it. He was filmed by a zoo employee: he was surprised at the concentration and interest with which the primate approached the activity. 
It is clear that Gugas is extremely focused on his task. The staff don't know why he did it - but they say it's unique behavior for a gorilla and undoubtedly reflects the intelligence and adaptability of gorillas. The video with Gugas quickly gained popularity on social networks, and the primate himself received unexpected fame. Visitors have given him thousands of likes and are now waiting for the zoo to open so they can see Gugas and his antics.
