Fishermen caught a container with valuable goods (4 photos + 1 video)
The cherished dream of many sailors is to stumble upon a chest of gold. And sometimes unexpected discoveries do happen. Having sailed several miles from the coast of France, the fishermen saw a cargo container. Having dragged him to the ship, they broke through the sheet and could not believe their eyes.
Inside the container were thousands of brand new iPhones. The crew members were stunned and delighted at the same time.
The video went viral back in 2021. However, after recently watching the video that surfaced, viewers doubted that they were indeed smartphones.
Many people believe that the white box says "Tobacco", which means that cigarette packs fell from the container and not Apple products.
"How do you all see phones? These are packs of cigarettes... The box says 'tobacco,'" one person commented.
“It says on the box that this is quality tobacco,” added a second.
“This is not an iPhone, when they open the container, you can read on the box that it is tobacco,” assured a third.
In 1989, an American paid less than $100 for an old container with unknown contents and decided to open it with his brother. The men began to carefully examine the cargo, which looked like a “huge lump.” Hidden under the blankets was a white sports car with a dented roof and no wheels. The brothers did not immediately recognize that this was the famous amphibious car of James Bond from the film “The Spy Who Loved Me.”
In the 1977 film, Roger Moore and Barbara Bach drove a car during a chase and then fell down a mountain into the ocean.
The car, which was called "Wet Nellie" on set, is believed to have been worth more than $100,000 in the 1970s.
In 2013, the Lotus Esprit in question was put up for auction in London. The new owner was Elon Musk, who offered $997,000 for the lot.
