A tourist dropped her designer bag while on safari in Namibia. The predators found the thing and began to study its contents.
New York fashion boutique owner Diana Fiorentinos went on a safari to South Luangwa National Park with her aunt in October. Soon after the start of the safari, the women noticed a group of lions that completely captured their attention. Fiorentinos was taking so many pictures and spinning in her seat that she didn't notice her designer bag containing all her belongings fall out of the open Jeep. According to the woman, the cost of the accessory is approximately 1.8 thousand dollars.
After some time, the safari participants noticed that three lionesses had taken possession of the bag. They studied the find with interest, licked it and touched it with their paws. Soon they were joined by a lion, who began to bite her and maul her.
At first, the owner of the bag watched what was happening with emotion, but soon, remembering that her iPad and her late grandmother’s vintage necklace were still in the bag, she began to panic. The guide tried to scare off the predators, but they left the prey only an hour later, when several more cars arrived at the site.
Luckily for Fiorentinos, all her belongings except her hat were intact. She told reporters that she was able to save even her bag by repairing the belt.
