Security officers at a large shopping center in Shanghai discovered the “hare” quite by accident. As it turned out, a certain young man had been living under the stairs in the megamall building for six months. His home is well equipped: there is a tent, a table, a computer and a chair.





Everyone knows the story of Mehran Karimi Naseri, based on which the film “Terminal” was filmed in 2004. But in case you forgot, let us remind you: Naceri lived in the departure lounge of Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for 18 years.

And recently, security guards at one of the shopping centers in Shanghai were terribly surprised to discover that a person had taken up residence in the building for which they were responsible for the security. And he built his home there according to a similar principle.



It turned out that the young man lived in a nook under the stairs, in which there was a tent, a table, a computer and even a comfortable chair. Despite the fact that he regularly left his hiding place to use the outlets inside the shopping center, he managed to evade security for six months.





First, one of the security guards discovered the uninvited tenant. But he took pity on the poor fellow: the guy said that he needed a place to prepare for the exam.

On October 30, another guard found the closet under the stairs. It was not possible to pity him, and the offender was detained.



Fortunately, it turned out to be completely harmless. But there are other examples of hidden secret dwellings, and they are much more frightening. For example, at the beginning of this year, California resident Ashley Guardino discovered that a person had been secretly living in the basement of her house for several months. One day she heard a strange noise and decided to investigate.

In her video, which has racked up more than six million views in just a few days, Ashley said: "I'm standing at the front door and I look outside and the grass is moving and there's a fucking hand coming out of the hole and feeling everything around."

She turned the camera around to show an open hole near the front door and then walked around the house to show how the suspect entered the crawl space. “A man lived here for several months. Lived under my house. Do you know how creepy it is to see a hand sticking out from under the house... feeling the wall?”

The video footage shows a police officer talking to a man outside Ashley's home before two officers appear on screen with guns drawn. They ask the man to come out of his hole. Eventually the man gets out and is taken away.
