Climate activists climbed the glass pyramid of the Louvre in Paris
And all in order to cover it with paint.
Environmental activists once again decided to draw attention to climate problems by attacking a cultural and tourist site where many people gather. This time their target was the Paris Louvre, reports Disclose.
About a dozen people chanted slogans and threw paintballs at the glass dome of the museum. At the same time, one of the environmental activists managed to climb onto the pyramid and began to pour paint on it from a bottle.
As it became known, aggressive environmentalists from the Derniere Renovation ("Last Update") movement thus protested against the climate policy of the French authorities and called for its change.
The offenders were not allowed to protest for long. A few minutes after the start of the show, they were tied up by security guards and handed over to the police. Now environmental activists are in the department.
According to media reports, the authors of today's action at the Louvre were the French civil resistance collective, which was created in 2022. It is affiliated with an international network of climate projects called A22, which consists of 11 organizations. Their goal is to organize non-violent actions that help draw attention to climate issues.
