The Genie from Aladdin spoke again in the voice of Robin Williams (3 photos + 1 video)
In honor of Disney's 100th anniversary, a beloved character returns to the screens - the cheerful and colorful Genie from the 1992 animated film "Aladdin", voiced by the unforgettable Robin Williams. Despite the fact that the actor passed away in 2014 at the age of 63, the writers and directors of the short film Once Upon a Time in the Studio received permission from the comedian's family to use the character. 
In honor of its 100th anniversary, Disney has brought the Genie from Aladdin back to life using recordings by Robin Williams. 
“We tried to interest the actor’s heirs. They said that we were creating a special short film. Robin as the Genie is important to a lot of people, and we would really like to use him,” explained producer Brad Simonsen.

The 13-minute film features Mickey and Minnie Mouse jumping out of a photograph at Walt Disney Animation Studios. In honor of the centennial anniversary, the mice call together numerous heroes to take a group photo.
The Genie, with the voice of Robin Williams, is once again delighting fans around the world, bringing back childhood memories. It's a fitting tribute to both Disney's legacy and Williams' extraordinary contributions to the world of animation.
In the film Once Upon a Time in the Studio, the Genie spoke without the help of artificial intelligence, using old recordings of Robin Williams' voice.
The short premiere comes just two weeks after Williams' daughter Zelda voiced her dissatisfaction with how AI is increasingly infiltrating cinema.
"This is no longer fiction. I've already heard how artificial intelligence was used to make my father say what people want, and it worries me. The result is either a poor copy of real people or a terrible Frankenstein of the worst aspects of this industry ", said the comedian's daughter.
