The Afghan supercar has been improved and is planned to be sent to the 24 Hours of Le Mans (7 photos)
The Afghan supercar was first presented to the public in January of this year and it was called Mada9. The car was modified, renamed Simurgh and brought to an exhibition in Qatar. The demonstration will be part of a fundraising campaign to complete the development. 
The creators of the supercar still do not disclose technical characteristics. It is only known that the coupe has a mid-engine layout and is driven by an upgraded 1.8-liter engine from the old Toyota Corolla, which has been further improved compared to the January model.
The owners did not allow the doors of the exhibition model to be opened: the interior of the coupe is also not yet ready.
According to Bloomberg, Entop got to the prestigious exhibition in Qatar thanks to crowdfunding. The company was helped to collect 130 thousand euros to pay for participation by voluntary contributions from more than 45 thousand people.
Entop's next goal is much more ambitious: the Afghan company plans to accumulate 30 million euros. The funds will be used to pay for the completion of the design of the supercar and its participation in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans race, after which Entop is going to begin production and sales.
Most likely, the race at Le Mans will also be just another promotion. The head of Entop, Mohammad Reza Ahmadi, told the agency that one of the goals of the project is to improve the image of Afghanistan in the international arena.
