According to the State Traffic Inspectorate of Karelia, “a 58-year-old driver, driving a UAZ vehicle with a faulty brake system, drove through a prohibitory traffic light signal, thereby hitting a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway at a controlled pedestrian crossing. As a result of the accident, a 70-year-old pedestrian was injured and hospitalized ".
