31-year-old blogger Pauly Long lives in Bali and has long been addicted to a diet of raw meat. Now he has switched his one-year-old son to this diet.
31-year-old blogger Paulie Long is confident that eating raw meat is good for his one-year-old son. Long lives in Bali and has been eating only raw meat and dairy products, with a small amount of fruits and vegetables, for several years. He believes that babies intuitively know what foods are good for them - and began feeding his son raw meat when he was five months old. At first it was raw liver, and now it’s steaks and even bovine testicles. According to the father, his son simply adores the latter.
"I don't force anything on my son. I've never forced my child to do anything, and I never will. I let him choose what to eat," Long says.
The blogger said that eating raw meat over the past few years has dramatically changed his life and health for the better. He also learned all about the dangers of eating raw meat before feeding it to a child or eating it himself. According to him, many people believe that raw meat can contain salmonella, but it is unlikely that you will become infected with it - besides, “most types of meat contain active enzymes that are beneficial to the body.” The blogger assures that if you order quality meat from a good supplier, everything will be fine.
Initially, the mother of the family was against such a diet for the baby, but over time she got used to her father’s ideas. Now the boy's diet consists of raw milk, chicken drumsticks, steak, and sometimes bull testicles. The father has already noted that his son is “taller than other children his age,” and also that after eating the testicles, the baby sleeps well.
However, many netizens opposed this approach, criticizing the blogger. Doctors have chimed in, warning that feeding raw foods to babies poses significant health risks.
"Babies have sensitive digestive systems that may not efficiently digest raw foods, especially meat. Additionally, eating raw meat can expose babies to harmful bacteria, which can lead to illness. It's always best to cook meat, which will make it safer to eat. I I would still recommend waiting until children are older before feeding them such foods,” says Dr Lawrence Cunningham from UK Care.
