A selection of blockbusters with the biggest production values budgets that are actually the most expensive films of all that were ever filmed.

The selection includes projects whose budget is 300 million dollars and more, and there were 13 of them. Who entered this elite list of thirteen?

All but one were filmed in the 2010s and 2020s, which not surprising. And absolutely all films are part of some franchises, that is, for 13 films there are 7 different franchises.

Thus, we can say that the film studios are especially generous finance pirates, superheroes and creatures generally not from our galaxy. And how do they manage to combine it?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)

Budget: $300 million

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007)

Budget: $300 million

The only film from the 2000s with such a huge budget. Once was the most expensive in history.

Justice League (2017)

Budget: $300 million

The only representative of DC. All the other superheroes turned out to be from Marvel.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Budget: $325 million

Fast and Furious 10 (2023)

Budget: $340 million

You will be surprised, but this film is the only one of all the list is not fiction. The realism we deserve!

Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)

Budget: $350 million

At the moment, Avatar consists of only two parts, but we know that three more are on the way.

Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Budget: $356 million

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Budget: $365 million

As it turned out, Ultron's pranks turned out to be more expensive, than destroying half the universe or restoring half universe.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)

Budget: $379 million

This is the penultimate part of the film series, and the last one was allocated much less - only 230 million.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Sunrise (2019)

Budget: $416 million

Jurassic World 2 (2018)

Budget: $432 million

The second and third films in the top most expensive ones turned out to be the most poorly received by viewers among all thirteen. Both have aggregators give a little more than 6 points out of 10.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

Budget: $447 million

So, the most expensive film in history is the first part of the trilogy Star Wars sequels! Such expenses were justified, and “Awakening” forces" grossed more than $2 billion at the box office.

But, as you understand, not all of these films turned out to be successful in terms of box office and audience ratings.
