In the city of Charleroi, schools began to burn, and on the walls appeared inscriptions in black paint “No EVRAS” (the abbreviation stands for the name new subject - “Education in the field of sexual relations and sexuality").
The reason is the appearance in the school curriculum of a two-hour annual course on sex, which has become mandatory this year for schoolchildren 11-12 and 15-16 years old. According to the authors of the course, it must answer teenagers' questions on such sensitive topics such as sexism, sexual violence and gender stereotypes.
However, not all so simple. Opponents of the new item are quite are justifiably afraid that children will be given propaganda hypersexuality and change of sexual orientation. Islamic and Catholic organizations have called for protests against this subject.
Belgian police are investigating attempts to arson of schools in Charleroi and promises to find the perpetrators.
