A man broke his neck while taking a contrast shower (3 photos)

A 33-year-old man from Edinburgh collapsed from a contrast shower and broke his neck.





Adrian Scott passed out while taking a shower and switched hot water to cold. He woke up on the bathroom floor. “At first I thought I just passed out. I put my foot on the wall, back was very sick. Then I realized that I couldn’t move my head.” the man remembers.



Scott sought medical attention. results examinations showed that he had broken his neck as a result of the fall. According to doctors, the man lost consciousness due to a sharp constriction of blood vessels when ice-cold water gushed over him.



After an injury, a man will not be able to work for at least at least 12 weeks. To cover mortgage payments and other bills, he had to spend all his savings and sell the car.

“I took cold showers many times to cheer myself up, but after talking with the doctors, I realized that it could be very dangerous, ” Scott notes.
