- U.S. Lieutenant General (retired) Ben Hodges:

Ukraine has embarked on a path that will lead to the liberation of Crimea and the expulsion of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine.

Therefore, the beginning of the counteroffensive — an important step for Ukraine, but its main phase has not yet begun.

- Valla from Israel:

Israel is negotiating the sale of more than 200 Merkava Mk2 and Mk3 tanks to Ukraine and Poland.

- By the end of the counteroffensive, Ukraine itself will want to negotiate with the Russian Federation, — CNN.

It will happen (https://edition.cnn.com/2023/06/17/europe/ukraine-counteroffensive-explained-hnk-intl/index.html) due to growing restrictions in both manpower and in foreign aid. According to the publication, some Western officials believe that "even if the West increases its military assistance, Ukraine still will not be able to defeat the Russian forces."

- Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spend almost all their salaries on the purchase of drones, — The Guardian.

The publication notes (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/17/21st-century-warfare-ukraine-counteroffensive-frontline) that drones are of great importance in this war, but in the Ukrainian army there is not enough funds for this (one of the possible reasons — is too high a level of corruption). Because of this, our warriors are 70% of the salary fromgive for the purchase and repair of UAVs.

- In an Israeli magazine, Zelensky was included in the top 50 influential Jews: his photo is on the title page.

And the bunker continues to declare that Zelensky — disgrace to the Jewish people.

- The US is blocking the funds needed for the production of missiles for Ukraine, — Politico.

The publication notes (https://www.politico.com/news/2023/06/17/pentagon-missile-ukraine-00102531) that the Republicans deleted $2.5 billion from the Pentagon's budget plans for the production of missiles. Congressional officials say the Pentagon has not sufficiently substantiated this need.

- "The driver died - and to hell with him. That's why the tank is intact."

Source: Telegram channel "Ilya Yashin"

You have probably already discussed in detail the meeting between Putin and the so-called. "commanders". I do not have the opportunity to quickly comment on such events, but I still want to draw attention to an episode that I consider key.

Boasting that "our tanks are the best in the world," Putin gave an example from a war zone. He said that the Russian T-90 tank was blown up by a landmine, but in the end remained practically unharmed. The mechanic, however, died – complained the president. "Just hit it hard there." But the iron is almost intact.

Of course, I am not a military expert (like Putin, by the way). But it always seemed to me that the most important task of modern armored vehicles is to save the crew. Saving a soldier's life, not iron. Because iron can be produced at a factory, and a dead person cannot be returned.

But Putin obviously has other priorities. For him, people are consumables, the value of which cannot be compared with the tanks, planes and missiles dear to his heart.

In this – our fundamental difference. We are with you for the life and preservation of man. And Putin cultivates death and literally saw everyone in a coffin, his own and others. Everyone who today takes up arms and goes to Ukraine should remember this.

- Occupying Russian "authorities" Kherson region did not allow UN representatives to flooded areas after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station

This was stated by UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine Denise Brown.

“The UN will continue to work to obtain the necessary access. We call on the Russian authorities to act in accordance with their obligations under international humanitarian law. Don't refuse to help people who need it. The UN will continue to do everything it can to support all people, including those affected by the recent dam collapse, — said in the message.

Local residents previously reported to ASTRA that the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation did not work at the site of the tragedy for the first day. About the absence of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the Left Bank in the early days of the flood and the ban on saving drowning people at night, ASTRA was spoken not only by independent volunteers, but also by those cooperating with the occupation authorities. Thus, this information was confirmed to ASTRA by Evgeny Kuzmin, who works as a volunteer in the occupied part of the Kherson region and is a “candidate for deputy”; on the territory of the Ukrainian region occupied by the Russian Federation.

- Undermining from within. The dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station was designed to withstand any conceivable impact from the outside. Evidence suggests Russia undermined it from within

The New York Times has released a huge investigation with graphic visualization of key points.

Briefly, with an explanation of each scheme:

What the dam looked like before the explosion. Shortly after a hole was formed in the dam, the most powerful streams of water cascaded out its upper part. But the real problem lies elsewhere, hidden deep beneath the raging waters.

Deep inside, the dam had an Achilles' heel. Since the dam was built in Soviet times, Moscow had all the necessary engineering drawings and knew where the heel was.

Scheme of the dam from the side. At the base of the dam laid a huge concrete block (concrete block). There was a passageway in the concrete block, accessible only from the dam's engine room. That's where the explosives were planted. (Above the dam - a railway bridge, a road bridge, hydroelectric cranes).

At 2:35 am and 2:54 am on June 6, seismic stations in Ukraine and Romania recorded signs of large explosions. Witnesses heard explosions around 2:15 am and 3 am. And right before the collapse of the dam, American reconnaissance satellites recorded infrared signals indicating an explosion.

Afterafter the collapse of the first section of the dam, the power of the water flow broke through a larger and larger area.

6, 7 - Next are the photos after the water receded and the concrete base of the dam became visible.

6. Part of the dam has a concrete base. It remained untouched, despite the powerful flow of water.

7. There is no concrete base in the center; it has gone deep under water. This is direct evidence that the base of the dam has received structural damage, the engineers.

8. With those chaotic consequences, other explanations are acceptable in theory. But the evidence directly points to the fact that the dam was damaged by an explosion carried out by the party that controlled it: Russia.

- "We didn't run to the shelter five meters"

A father and a child were killed as a result of shelling in Belopolye, Sumy region.

The Mayor of Belopolye Yury Zarko announced this.

“Just three meters from them, a shell exploded. They just ran for cover and did not reach five meters. The father died on the spot, the child did not have time to be taken to the hospital, he died in his arms, – Zarco said.

- Brilliant techniques of information warfare

Today, as always, I was monitoring different channels and two posts from Rogov caught my attention. I think I've seen something similar somewhere recently. I remembered. in Kadyrov. These fellows pulled out a template from a dusty chest in the style of "write information that is beneficial to the enemy, wait for him to carry it, and then, after a while, sharply refute it and say" What, bought it? happy? And I rofl. "And now they use this chip with the whole company. I consider this a success without a doubt. Where is the tsipso before this)

- "I don't feel sorry for the children" — merch with the phrase Putin came up withchildren's ombudsman – Siren

The holder of an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court, Maria Lvova-Belova, presented at SPIEF a merch with Putin's phrase "I don't feel sorry for children." So the President of Russia in February answered the request of the children's ombudsman to give "a little money" for the needs of the Russian movement of children and youth. It was about minors whom the Russian authorities deported from the occupied Ukrainian territories.

Recall that in March the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Putin and Lvova-Belova for the illegal deportation of children from Ukraine.

- Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Azman responded to the Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, who called the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky "a disgrace to the Jewish people"

Moshe Reuven Asman said this in a comment to an UNIAN correspondent. The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine reacted to Putin's regular propaganda statements against Zelensky. "I can personally say that I am proud of President Zelensky, that he did not run away and is doing everything to help the Ukrainian people. And not only me. I think that the whole world is proud of him", – noted Moshe Reuven Asman.

Also, the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine stressed that there are no neo-Nazis in Ukraine. "There are decent people in Ukraine who defend their homeland", – noted Moshe Reuven Asman.

Recall that yesterday the bunker dictator said to Zelensky that he was perplexed "how it is possible to support neo-Nazi rabble" and that his Jewish friends consider Zelensky "a disgrace to the Jewish people."

06/08/2023 Moshe Reuven Azman was under fire in Kherson during the evacuation of civilians from flooded areas.
