An Indian official dropped his phone into a reservoir while taking a selfie and decided to drain it
Genius plan. That's what initiative means!
Food inspector and selfie lover Rajesh Vishwas has been suspended from duty after it became known that the search for his phone almost drained the reservoir.
The incident took place at the beginning of the week in the city of Chhattisgarh. Vishwas came with his comrades for a picnic at the local reservoir. At some point, having decided to capture his beloved on the phone, he dropped the gadget into the water. The official was so upset that he first forced the locals to dive for his Samsung S23 ultra, which he bought just two weeks ago for 95,000 rupees (91,000 rubles). There was little water in the reservoir, no more than three meters deep, but for two days the locals could not find the phone in the muddy waters.
Then the "brilliant" Rajesh Vishwas rented a diesel pump and began pumping water. The operation was carried out under the pretext of protecting government information. In a few days, the pump pumped out approximately 38 million liters of water.
As a result, information about Vishwas' stupid idea reached the leadership and he was removed. And along with him, an employee of a division of the Department of Water Resources, who gave oral permission to pump water. By the way, the phone was found.
