Brutalism in architecture is associated with the USSR for many people. But Great Britain is the birthplace of this direction. Brutalism takes its toll beginning in the 1950s, and over the next 20 years the architects of Europe, Japan and the United States also decided to try this style. However, rough and massive forms somehow did not take root there. But the Soviet architects brutalism was very much to their liking and they erected a lot of impressive buildings in this style. From this, the opinion arose that it was purely Soviet chip and invention. Brutalism in the future began to be criticized for ugly compositional solutions, but in our area it took root and became an important part of a piece of history. Brutalism is a direction of modernism that actively developed in post-war years. Its main features are the underlined massiveness of forms, urbanism and lack of decoration. IN the international character of the buildings was necessarily highlighted. The predominant building material is reinforced concrete.
