The RAM 1500 Rev electric pickup was first seen as a concept presented to the public at CES 2023, and already in February appeared production model advertisement. The car was in many ways similar to his gasoline brother - Ram 1500. It has similar body proportions, although the design of the front and rear parts is somewhat different.





Solutions from the concept of a month ago in the form shown there are not many cars involved. About the show car here they are reminded futuristic LED headlights with a distinctive pattern, grille, wheels and nameplates.

At the same time, the company changed the overall form factor of the machine. Ready for the release of the RAM 1500 Rev received a small glass area and an elongated cargo platform. On the way to the series, the design of the side cases was simplified. mirrors, door handles and a number of other components.

Unification with the gasoline version of the pickup truck can also be traced in cabin: here is the same shape of the front panel with a portrait-oriented multimedia display.

At the same time, on the passenger side there is another small display (as on the Jeep Grand Wagoneer), and the model the entertainment complex runs on a different operating system.



Despite certain borrowings, the developers call Ram 1500 Rev "brand new model". It will be the brand's first car built on the STLA Frame cargo platform, which was created especially for frame electric cars.

The electric pickup has a twin-engine powerplant 663 hp (841 Nm). From 0-60 mph (97 km/h) truck accelerates in 4.4 seconds, that is, it is faster than the conventional gasoline version.

The car is capable of towing a trailer weighing up to 6,350 kg. By in this indicator, it bypasses the Chevrolet Silverado EV and Ford F-150 Lightning. But with the Tesla Cybertruck, which has not yet been released, parity comes out.

The base car relies on air suspension with adaptive shock absorbers. Ground clearance can be changed by activating one or another driving preset. The last five are in stock. Among them, two off-road and one for landing/ disembarkation (lowers the body as much as possible). According to the data sheet, the pickup truck is capable of storming fords up to 610 mm deep.





By default, the model is equipped with a traction battery with a capacity of 168 kWh, and for a surcharge, you can order a 229 kWh battery. By the way, in in the latter case, the power reserve exceeds 800 km, which makes the novelty the most long-range machine in its class.

In parallel, the Americans announced a "charged" RAM 1500 REV XR. There are practically no details about him, but he should be even more long-range. The onboard network of an electric pickup truck operates under voltage of 800 volts, which means you can recharge it even from 350 kilowatt terminals.

The model also claims to support bidirectional technology. energy transfer (it can not only be given back to the network, but also be used to replenish the battery of another electric vehicle).

In addition, there is a power supply system for external equipment, which in its implementation resembles Ford's "Pro Power Onboard". It has a power of 10.8 kW, with sockets in the front accounting for 3.6 kW, and for sockets in the cargo compartment - 7.2 kW. From other equipment it is worth noting the car valet and adaptive cruise control, which allows ride without hands.

Pickup orders are already open - get in line for machine can be left a refundable deposit of $ 100. Serial production of the Ram 1500 Rev will begin in 2024, and in showrooms dealers, the first copies will appear only at the very end of the year.
