The attacker was not embarrassed that the car was parked on a lighted street with cars passing by. He slowly approached the “victim” and with rhythmic movements pulled out both headlights of the “Cayenne” in turn, after which he quickly disappeared from view. Judging by the dexterity of actions, the thief already had experience with such crossovers.
Porsche Cayenne, especially the first generation, are often victims of headlight theft. The reason is the high cost of these devices - not even the "freshest" used headlights are sold on ad sites for 32-35 thousand hryvnias. And the prices for lighting equipment for relatively new cars until 2017 may exceed 50-60 thousand hryvnias.
In order not to be left without headlights, some owners of premium "Germans" install mechanical means of protection against theft. Their installation is carried out by specialized organizations.
