Another earthquake in Turkey brought down previously damaged houses

Another earthquake occurred this afternoon in eastern Turkey near the cities of Sanliurfa and Malatya. According to Turkish seismologists, the magnitude of the tremors was 5.6 points.
Despite the fact that the earthquake was not as powerful as the previous one, several dozen buildings collapsed in the above-mentioned cities, which received serious damage on February 6.
Yunus Sezer, head of the Department of Disaster Relief, said that one person died as a result of the earthquake, another 69 received various injuries and were hospitalized.
Recall that on February 6, two powerful earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 occurred in the province of Kahramanmarash. A natural disaster of this magnitude has occurred in Turkey for the first time since 1939. According to the latest data, 44,374 people died, thousands of houses were destroyed, the damage to the economy, according to the most conservative estimates, reaches 84 billion dollars.
