British treasure hunter finds ancient coins worth £200,000 (5 photos)
As you know, not all seekers of ancient treasures are lucky, although once in a lifetime. But 68-year-old Tony House from the UK was lucky. Walking with a metal detector near Chippingham, County Wiltshire, a man came across a hoard of ancient coins. By the way, House declined to specify the exact location.
Judging by the information from the social networks, all the coins were minted from 1158 to 1180, during the reign of the royal dynasty Plantagenets. Such coins, by the way, are commonly called "worst pennies" - due to the fact that they are poorly made and difficult to read. In addition to these coins, the treasure hunter found two gold dinars, six rings and a brooch. AND the total value of what was found could be as high as £200,000.
