Abandoned circus monkey with one paw found shelter with Buddhist monks
A monkey named Xingxing performed in a Chinese circus for fifteen years. At some point, the management of the zoo for some reason released a monkey into the wild. Accustomed to living in captivity, Xingsin foraged for food in the forest, but more often looked into the nearest village.
The villagers on Dalian Mountain noticed the monkey and quickly got used to it. The monkey was wearing a collar and the locals realized that it had once been domesticated. They named her Shinshin and decided to help her. Because of the collar, which caused her pain, the monkey became frightened of people and became more and more aggressive. Caring residents turned to the local zoo so that specialists could help remove the collar.
As it turned out, in addition to the collar, Shinshin had another problem - a broken front paw. The fracture was old and had to be amputated. After the operation, she could no longer live in the wild and she was handed over to Buddhist monks. This is how Shinshin found her home.
Now she lives in a temple where everyone loves and cherishes her. She is hand-fed, given juice from a straw and constantly stroked. At first, the monkey was very frightened by such attention, but then she got used to it. Now she has a family and a friend - a tabby cat.
