It's never too late: 71-year-old grandmother from Turkey studied to be a graphic designer (4 photos)
Perhaps everyone will agree that we are constantly looking for excuses for any reason. For example, I didn’t do it because: “I don’t owe anyone anything,” “I’m too tired,” “I’m too old,” “I’m too young,” and so on. But some people just go and do it. For example, like the heroine of this post. Meet Selma Sahin, a 71-year-old grandmother from Turkey who studied to be a junior graphic designer.
In her youth, she had to drop out of school — her parents couldn’t pay for her studies. She raised two children, waited for four grandchildren, and at 69, she entered university.
Without skipping classes or whining, the granny finished her studies: now she has a diploma in design, and she confidently works in Photoshop and Figma.
