An American couple has been renovating the house for two years. When they got to the kitchen, they realized that they could not save on repairs works: there a real treasure was waiting for them, capable of solving them financial difficulties.
While renovating the kitchen in their home, a couple from the United States discovered a safe in semi. It was under the kitchen set, installed by the previous the owners of the house. The safe looked relatively old and was firmly built in. to the floor
When the couple first moved in, they found the code for the safe in first aid kit. They weren't sure what the code belonged to, but they saved it to just in case. The safe looked to be about 10-20 years old, and after a few attempts to open it, it finally unlocked.
When they opened the safe, they found a lot of money, as well as an old a bottle of whiskey, a blue book and what looks like an old Bingo card. And although the husband was afraid that the safe was mined and it was dangerous to take items, they all have decided.
Luckily for them, the safe was not booby-trapped. There were about 50,000 inside dollars (3.5 million rubles), mostly in hundred-dollar bills. After counting, it turned out that the total amount of money was $51,080.
Also in the safe was a bottle of James E. Pepper whiskey, which consists of whiskey, bitters, sugar cubes and lemon zest.
The bottle was factory sealed. The tax stamp was for 1960, while her age at the time of corking the bottle was 6 years. According to connoisseurs, this first-class whiskey is found extremely seldom.
The book, the author of which - E. F. Schumacher - was called "Guide to perplexed." It was published in 1977. Opening the book, the couple discovered a photograph of Gregory Peck. Upon further study, it turned out that the book tried to give them clues, especially on pages 1, 7, 11 and fourteen.
On the back of the photo was a note that read: "Alan, I have a book that you should read. I have highlighted a few key passages. Your friend Vincent."
When they got to page 7, they found a map of Arizona. First they decided that it was a bookmark, but it was just a card with a cross over Mesa city near Phoenix. There was an outline on the front of the card Arizona highlighted in green among other mountain states.
In addition, on page 7, a line was underlined in the chapter "About philosophical maps. It read: "One of the ways to look at the world in in general is to use a map, that is, a kind of plan or sketch, showing where you can find various things.
On page 11, there was a photograph of a house or an old estate with underlined sentence that read: "It has produced such fruitful results".
The book also showed an attached photo on the back. which was written: "Where one tree becomes three."
Another photo showed exactly a three-headed tree. But where it is, it was not indicated anywhere.
On page 14 they found another underlined passage that read: “Most modern readers will not want to believe that perfect happiness is achievable by methods about which the modern world knows nothing about knows."
Three numbers were circled on the Bingo lottery card found. The husband indicated that the safe they found in the house has a three-digit code, so, maybe the three numbers on the bingo card refer to the safe near the three-headed tree.
The couple have not yet decided what to do with the money, but since the note in the book was addressed to Alan, they want to give the key to the rightful owner from a possible treasure. In return, they only ask to be allowed to keep whiskey James E. Pepper. However, Alan has not yet responded, and how will fascinating story, as yet unclear.
