A vinaigrette of historical footage from past years. Issue 165

Funny photos, interesting events and people who made history - all this in a new selection.

It seems that this is just an old worn-out photo, the image on which is already fading, and the lines and images are losing clarity.

But in reality, such photos are a window into a whole world - the world of the past. Where people lived with their hopes, dreams, problems, joys and sorrows.

1. Humanity

As is known, the photo was taken on the day the wall was erected in August 1961, and the boy found himself on the opposite side of the Berlin Wall, far from his family.

Despite the East German government's order not to let anyone through, a soldier helped the little boy get through the barbed wire. It is said that around the time this photo was taken, the soldier was seen by his superior, who immediately fired him from his unit.

2. Paris is a holiday

Parisian surrealists, 1933: Tristan Tzara, Paul Eluard, André Breton, Hans Arp, Salvador Dali, Yves Tanguy, Max Ernst, René Crevel and Man Ray.

Miracle Tree

Shoe tree in Fort Erie (Ontario, Canada). The first mention of shoes in the forest dates back to 1972. Why do they leave them there? Some Canadians believe that this is an art installation. Others insist that shoes in the forest are part of the so-called free walking movement, which was popular in the 1970s. Still others are absolutely sure that it all started with a joke of local teenagers.

14. Protection
