One day, Teresa Haugen noticed a fluffy white cat walking in her yard. There was a flea collar on the purr's neck, and this suggested that the cat had owners. However, the guest seemed thinner than a pet should be, so the woman decided to leave him food and water...

Soon, her friend’s son told Teresa that the cat belonged to the neighbors, but they had recently moved. And although there are many shelters in the United States, the family did not worry about the fate of the cat and decided to simply leave him on the street.

For the next year and a half, Teresa regularly left food and water for the purr, trying to make friends with the snow-white fluffy. He accepted the “gifts” but kept his distance.

One evening he came to Teresa, and she noticed a wound on the cat’s head. It was swollen and he clearly needed medical attention. Murlyka, of course, did not allow anyone to touch him and soon ran away.

Fortunately, his wound gradually healed, but Teresa was still worried about her pet. He was losing weight, despite the fact that the woman fed him regularly

The owner of the house really hoped that one day the cat would trust her, and it happened! One fine day, the purr buried itself at her feet, and she picked him up, hugging him to her. The woman was happy that she could finally show him to the doctor. It turned out that the cat had fleas, worms, and also a very serious bladder disease. He was prescribed treatment. At the same time, Teresa was planning a move and wanted to take Buddy (that’s the cat’s name) into her home...

In the meantime, she brought him to her old home. And then the unexpected happened: the baby, who did not trust people too much, was afraid of the new environment. He jumped out of the house, breaking the glass of a window located on the second floor, and ran away... Of course, Teresa was terrified.

Fortunately, the fugitive returned again, and she took him in her arms and addressed him.

“I’m leaving, and you’ll have to come with me if you don’t want to starve and sit without water. There will be no one to take care of you!” – Teresa recalls her words.

Surprisingly, the cat seemed to understand what the woman told him. Not only did Buddy not run away, but he actually went with his new owner!

Years have passed since then, but the furry hero never thought of escaping! The cat enjoys life and trusts Teresa and her son almost one hundred percent.

Despite the fact that the cat is no longer young, he is still full of strength and energy, and the woman is very happy about this. She never tires of thanking fate for being able to “persuad” Buddy to live with her and saving him from hunger and life on the street!
