There are many animals roaming the streets, but we pay special attention to some of them. The guy passing by this little kitten couldn't help but stop. The tramp was just one of hundreds... But he occupied a special place in the guy’s soul!
Skinny, with dozens of ants crawling through its fur, motionless, the 4-week-old kitten seemed frozen in the stream of passers-by. Those who leave and disappear forever...
That day, a guy from New South Wales, Australia, rescued a kitten named Guy (which is Latin for “rejoice”). He carefully picked it up from the sidewalk, brushed as many ants out of its fur as possible, and picked up the phone.
The guy already had one rescued cat at home, so the passerby knew exactly where to call. The rescue group CatRescue 901 reacted instantly - and now the little eye is already on its way to meet the volunteers!
“Guy only weighed 217 grams when we found him. He was 4 weeks old, so he must have weighed at least 500 grams,” says Jenny Stocker, co-director of CatRescue 901.
That night, people, full of hope to save the little life, did not leave the baby a single step, constantly keeping the weak body warm and providing it with water. They knew that the next 24 hours should be indicative of whether the baby would survive or not cope with the disease...
A day has passed - and, fortunately, we have a completely different cat in front of us! In such a short time, Guy gained 25% of his weight - an amazing result, only possible thanks to the most attentive care and good nutrition.)
It was clear that this skinny kid had begun a powerful struggle within himself, and now he needed support.
“He eats and gains weight. We are treating cat flu with very little medication, and even his eyes already look much better,” says a pleased Jenny.
Look, this little fighter is the size of a palm, but with a heart no smaller than that of a lion!
At this stage, the most important thing is to eat well and spend more time in the warm hands of caring people. And now, after 4 days – plus 124 grams.)
Now remember - when Guy was brought here, he couldn’t even move. Now he is unrecognizable!
But even though the baby is growing, he is still too small.
Only now he is a young explorer and a little adventurer. Leave such a hooligan alone for a minute - he will happily destroy some structure!)
“You see him getting stronger every day,” Jenny says.
A sad fate awaited him... But an ordinary guy noticed him - and now little Guy lives happily in a foster family!
“He's had a long journey, but he's doing much better now,” says his savior. - Go ahead, Guy. You are an amazing little guy!”
After stories like this, you can’t help but think that it’s in our power to give someone such desired help...
