Millions love Patrick Swayze. Do you know everything about him?
Patrick Swayze is one of the most famous Hollywood actors, who became famous for his role in the romantic film Dirty Dancing. He was the desired man of millions of women. There is hardly anyone who has not thought of this handsome man as a prince from ancient fairy tales. Handsome, able to sing, dance, a Hollywood star, he had everything that any woman wants. It’s a pity that we have to talk about this great actor in the past tense.
His hobbies defined him as a real man: rodeo, horse riding, auto racing, skydiving. But at the same time, Patrick was a gentle person with a romantic soul.
When he was 14 years old, he met his future wife at a dance school. At that time, actress Lisa Niemi was a student of Patrick's mother, a talented choreographer. Lisa was different from her peers; she never tried to attract Swayze's attention. One day, Patrick received a slap from Lisa for an “accidental” hug.
Her inaccessibility attracted Patrick, and soon he lost his head over her; she won his heart for the rest of his life.
Their relationship began with ordinary friendship. Patrick and Lisa talked for hours on end. They couldn't get enough of each other. Their relationship was sincere and genuine. Patrick had an irresistible desire to develop his talents, which is why he left Lisa.
He went to New York to realize himself in ballet dancing.
Lisa could not live without him and moved in with him, the couple soon legalized their relationship. They were happy together and wanted to expand their family and have children. But, unfortunately, after two miscarriages, the couple no longer hoped for anything.
Later, due to all the experiences, Patrick developed an addiction to alcohol, cocaine and cigarettes.
Rehabilitation helped him break some habits. But he continued to smoke even after he was diagnosed with cancer at 57 years old.
He was diagnosed with cancer in 2008, crazy news from doctors that his mind did not want to accept “stage four pancreatic cancer.”
Even despite such a serious illness, Patrick continued to play an FBI agent in the filming of the television series “The Beast.” Between takes on the set, he underwent chemotherapy and tried his best to improve his physical shape with proteins, but the disease progressed very quickly.
He was such a strong person that he refused painkillers.
After filming the series wrapped, he went to a ranch where he meditated while drinking fresh vegetable juice.
Swayze always said: “With cancer, we have nothing but caveman tools. You fight a monster with poison, but how much of that poison can your body take and you still keep working.”
His incomparable Lisa was always there, right up until the actor’s death on September 14, 2009. She supported him as best she could and loved him more than life itself. Their love leaves no one indifferent.
Love and take care of each other!
