Italian Cats Who Make Themselves Right at Home at Work (33 Photos)

For her project C-AT Work, Italian photographer Marianna Zampieri captures cats that live in workplace settings.

The photographer stresses that she always respects animal welfare:

“There is no staging or coercion here. Cats are completely unpredictable, and that is the most challenging part of the project. They won't do what you want them to do when you want them to do it. I can never plan ahead—I just wait and see what happens. In my photos, a cat is never forcibly held; everything has to be entirely spontaneous and reflect a sense of everyday intimacy.”
