ABT-Tuned Audi RS 7 Nearly Matches Bugatti Veyron in Horsepower (4 Photos)
ABT Sportsline has unveiled a bespoke take on the Audi RS 7 Sportback, reportedly commissioned by Audi's Berlin division. While joining the tuner's Legacy Edition lineup, this is a true one-off build dubbed the "Thunder 1 of 1." The crown jewel of the project is a heavily boosted 4.0-liter V8 that falls just a single horsepower shy of the legendary Bugatti Veyron.
The tuner hasn't delved into the full technical details of the engine overhaul, revealing only headline figures: an astonishing 1,000 hp and 1,150 Nm of torque. In comparison, the stock Audi RS 7 puts out up to 630 hp and 850 Nm, launching the five-door from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. ABT's Thunder will almost certainly shave that sprint time down to well under three seconds.
ABT Sportsline builds are typically known for their understated aesthetics, making the Thunder 1 of 1 an unusually striking departure. The liftback sports not only a unique custom blue finish, but also deep-red carbon fiber accents under the hood. Aerodynamics were sharpened with a lightweight carbon-fiber body kit highlighted by vibrant orange touches—echoing both the brake calipers and the cabin's primary interior accents. To top it all off, the headliner has been fitted with an LED "starlight" ceiling.
