A blogger serviced a Bugatti for 16 times less by buying parts from a regular VW (1 photo + 2 videos)
British automotive blogger Mat Armstrong circumvented Bugatti's service regulations by servicing his Veyron hypercar for more than 16 times less than the official price. Instead of a £20,000 dealership service, he spent less than £1,200 by purchasing much cheaper parts himself.
After purchasing a used hypercar, the blogger discovered, for example, that the original spark plugs could be replaced with identical ones from the NGK catalog. He also sourced other necessary components from standard Volkswagen models, the same company that created the Veyron.
We used a mass air flow sensor from an Audi S8, ignition coils from a VW Phaeton, and a transmission pump from an Audi A6. The transmission accumulator, as it turns out, can be borrowed from a VW Lupo minicar.
