Updated Toyota Camry Pre-Orders Open in China Starting at $20,000 (14 Photos)
Toyota has announced Chinese pricing and opened pre-orders for the refreshed 2027 Camry sedan. As part of the update, the model gains a modernized interior, an expanded list of standard equipment, and added comfort features. Factoring in current special offers, prices range from 131,800 to 169,800 yuan (approximately $20,000 to $25,000), AutoHome reports.
Starting from mid-tier trims, the sedan comes equipped with a head-up display, a 50W wireless smartphone charger, heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, along with a 14-speaker JBL audio system. The front seatbacks feature Xiaomi ecosystem ports for mounting tablets, while the rear bench gets power recline, heating, and ventilation. In the trunk, a hidden storage compartment replaces the spare tire.
The Toyota Safety Sense driver-assistance suite comes standard across the board, featuring adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. Higher trim levels add blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, front cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitor.
The powertrain lineup remains unchanged. The model is offered with a 173-hp 2.0-liter gasoline engine paired with a Direct Shift-CVT, as well as hybrid setups based on 2.0-liter (combined output of 197 hp) and 2.5-liter (combined output of 230 hp) engines. Claimed fuel consumption for the hybrid variants ranges from 4.2 to 4.6 liters per 100 km on the combined WLTC cycle.
