Brabus unveiled a luxurious 1,450-horsepower catamaran (9 photos)
Brabus, known for its expensive Mercedes-Benz tuning projects, and Sunreef Yachts have unveiled their first-ever collaboration on a catamaran. The luxurious Ultima 55 is 17 meters long, can accommodate up to six passengers in three cabins, and is powered by two 10.8-liter V6 engines producing a combined output of 1,450 horsepower. The price of the new Brabus yacht has not been disclosed, but some estimates place it at around $3 million. 
The hull of the Brabus Ultima 55 is clad in carbon fiber and can be finished in red or pearlescent accents. At 17 meters long, the catamaran has a beam of 5.6 meters, with folding panels on the aft deck that can be expanded to 7.6 meters. This area features fold-out sun loungers and a table, an electric grill, and a bar area.
The catamaran's living space can consist of two luxurious cabins or three more compact cabins, plus a pilot's quarters. The interior will be finished with the same materials Brabus uses in its cars: leather, Alcantara, wood, and carbon fiber. The layout includes a fully equipped galley area and a 43-inch television with Bowers & Wilkins sound system.
The Ultima 55 engines enable a top speed of 75 km/h. Other technical specifications are not disclosed, except for the fuel tank capacity, which is 1,500 liters.
