A Polish resident couldn't figure out for a long time where his underwear, socks, and other items from his yard clothesline were disappearing. Eventually, he caught the thief red-handed. 
A serial underwear thief has emerged in Poland—it turns out to be a beaver.
The Polish man noticed that his underwear, socks, T-shirts, and other clothes, which he had been drying in his yard, were disappearing. But one day, the man caught the thief red-handed: the beaver ran up to the clothesline, ripped off his underwear, grabbed it with its teeth, and slyly ran into the water.
I saw this and froze in my tracks, but he turned around, hissed at me, and disappeared into the water like some kind of swamp demon.
The man suggests that the beaver is stealing the clothes to furnish its lodge.
